OVERVIEW
The purpose of this presentation is to review carotid disease evaluation with emphasis on the differences.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be prepared to:
• Understand the concept of critical stenosis.
• Establish the correspondence between increases in Doppler velocity and pressure reduction
• Review the concept of the “vulnerable” plaque and the concept of plaque characterization
