OVERVIEW
This issue contains information on the role of various imaging modalities in detecting peripheral arterial disease, transcranial Doppler monitoring in patients undergoing carotid artery revascularization, various sonographic waveform patterns encountered when interpreting a carotid duplex examination, utilizing transcranial Doppler ultrasound pre and post middle cerebral artery stent placement, a case of a muscle strain injury that resulted in a pseudoaneurysm, and traumatic superficial temporal artery pseudoaneurysm treated with thrombin injection.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After reading and studying the papers used for CME in the Fall 2021 Issue of the Journal for Vascular Ultrasound, participants will be able to:

10. List the transducer frequency used when performing a transcranial Doppler examination
11. Describe the symptoms of a middle cerebral artery stroke
12. List the vessel commonly associated with intracranial atherosclerosis and ischemic stroke
13. State the sonographic features of a pseudoaneurysm
14. Describe the typical development of a pseudoaneurysm
15. Describe the pulsed Doppler waveform pattern seen in the neck of a pseudoaneurysm
