SVU Live Webinar: Case Studies Webinar -- 11/20/2025
SVU Live Webinar: Case Studies Webinar
Overview:
This session will use case-based learning to engage with fellow technologists by sharing a number of interesting case studies from practices around the country. The patient’s symptoms, non-invasive vascular findings, correlative testing and/or outcomes will be presented along with an opportunity for discussion. This presentation of authentic clinical cases is meant to help vascular technologists learn from each other by building knowledge and critical thinking skills that can be applied to their own clinical practices.

Learning Objectives:
A variety of vascular duplex studies will be represented during this case studies webinar. Complex issues involving the visceral venous, visceral arterial, extracranial and arterial systems will be presented. Upon completion of this course the learner should be able to:

• Recognize atypical visceral anatomy and rare conditions
• Explain various scanning tips for technically difficult cases
• Define diagnostic criteria for stenosis in the various arterial and venous systems
• Explain the purpose and presentation of interposition grafts used in the carotid arteries.
